Hello,

a bit about me:

In July 2020, Anna completed her Ph.D. at Loughborough Design School, full-funded by Loughborough Design School (studentship). Her Ph.D. explored the way the design of prostheses could affect users' lives and society’s attitudes towards users, with respect to the level of their emotionally-driven design.

In 2014, Anna completed her undergraduate diploma in Athens (Greece), where she studied Interior Design, Decoration and Product Design (BSc). Her major project entitled “The passage of Architectural Design to Clothing and Furniture”, focused on furniture design. In 2015 she received a scholarship from Nottingham Trent University (UK), where she continued her studies on Furniture and Product Design (MA). Her thesis was “The design of prosthetic covers-The way that the design of the prosthetic covers can highlight the personality and the femininity of female amputees”.

Currently, Anna works as a 3D visualiser and Interior Designer at DBSL Design & Building Solutions LTD. The main responsibilities include: the creation of digital models of buildings in Rhino, based on architectural plans; the preparation of photo-realistic 3D images of the interior and exterior design in V-Ray; the preparation of technical drawings in AutoCAD; and the monitoring of the construction process.

Anna’s interest is on emotional design, research methods (both quantitative and qualitative methods), user-centred design, and design for social innovation.
